The Holiday Season Is Upon Us

Corona, CA –

Yesterday was a busy schedule for the Santiago High School Marching and Jazz I bands.   The marching band performed at Dos Lagos shopping center for the Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony, and Jazz I band performed at the Crossings shopping center Christmas tree lighting ceremony.

It was a delight to watch the marching band parade around Dos Lagos while they performed traditional Christmas music.  I watched first hand as shoppers and shop employees funneled out to watch and enjoy the music as the band marched past them.  It certainly brought a lot of warm smiles to their faces.   Some viewed the band from within the stores through store front windows.

The Jazz I band gave flawless performances with a female vocalist from the Santiago High Madrigals.  The band brought in the season with a side performance from a magician and a visit from Santa himself…  he thought the band was really hot!  The tree lighting ceremony went off without a hitch.

It made for a fun and fascinating time for all… especially for the little children that attended either of the ceremonies/festivities.

Nice job to all that performed!

All that Jazz!

November 8, 2010 – Santiago High School, Corona, CA

Santiago High School Bands gave performances by their Jazz I, II & III bands.   The RCC (Riverside Community College) Day and Night bands were there to round out he evening with their extraordinary flair as they pumped out the notes in rapid fire succession.  It was quite a line up, and great evening of jazz music.   There will be more performances in the near future if you missed this one.
